~Symbols of Easter~

The BUTTERFLY:

From the chrysalis and the lava brings
release from the tomb and brings forth eternal life.

And the Spring arose on the garden fair,

Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;

And each flower and herb on Earth's dark breast

Rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.

The snowdrop and then the violet,

Arose from the ground with warm rain wet;

And their breath was mixed with sweet odour sent

From the turf like the voice and the instrument.

THE PHOENIX:

From the ashes the Phoenix rose bringing
eternal life after destruction.

I call this to mind, and therefore I have hope:

The Lord's mercies never cease, for His compassions never fail.

They are new ever morning; great is Your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:21-23

THE EASTER LILY:

A beautiful flower that symbolizes rebirth.

O come, let us sing to the Lord;

Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.

Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving;

Let us shout for joy to Him with psalms.

PSALM 95: 1-2

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart

Be pleasing in Your sight,

O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer:

PSALM 19:14
